It is 2024 and we are afraid that creativity has died because of the advent of ChatGPT and AI. And just when we thought that movies are no longer going to be written by humans, comes a breath of fresh air in the form of "My old ass", and I am not talking about the amazing cinematography!
It might be a coming of the age movie but has science fiction hidden in the form of time travel. It speaks volumes to young women discovering (or rediscovering) their sexuality. And my best dialogue is the line that Elliott says to her brother Max when they discuss what she wrote on his birthday card ! "Happy Birthday, Max. Like Cis men need any more happiness!" lmao!
Go watch the movie and scream out loud that "human creativity is not DEAD!"
Also Maisy Stella is a stellar find (no puns) ! May I see more of her.
